Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin or flank steak
  • 1 cup bell peppers
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the beef thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
  2. Chop your vegetables and grate the fresh ginger and garlic.
  3. Combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and half of the grated ginger. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in your wok over high heat until shimmering.
  5. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  6. Toss in remaining ginger, garlic, and chopped vegetables. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle in sugar or honey and stir to combine.
  8. Plate the stir-fry over rice or noodles, or enjoy on its own.
