Deliciously fudgy brownies topped with a pecan mixture.

- 1 box brownie mix (or homemade equivalent)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the brownie batter according to your boxed mix or homemade recipe.
- Pour brownie batter into the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until just set.
- While baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 2 minutes.
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour pecan mixture evenly over the partially baked brownies.
- Return to oven and bake for another 25–30 minutes, until topping is bubbling and golden.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
- Make sure the brownies are fully cooled before slicing for cleaner cuts.
