Description
A delicious treat made with Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and pretzels, coated in a sweet caramel glaze.

- 2 cups Rice Chex
- 2 cups Corn Chex
- 1 cup mini pretzels
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 275°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and mini pretzels.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup. Let it come to a gentle boil for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda until foamy.
- Pour the caramel glaze over the cereal mix and fold quickly with a spatula to coat evenly.
- Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- While still warm, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture (combine granulated sugar and cinnamon), then toss gently.
- Let it cool completely, break apart any clumps, and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- For a pop of color, consider adding some chocolate chips or M&M’s after the mix has cooled.
