Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and pit the cherries, creating hollow centers.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips and butter in 30-second intervals until smooth; stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Toss pitted cherries in granulated sugar until coated.
  5. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut squares to wrap each cherry completely.
  6. Place melted chocolate in each square, add a cherry, and seal the pastry.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined baking sheet for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow cooling before serving; dust with powdered sugar if desired.
