Description

A refreshing and nutritious smoothie made with kale, apple, cucumber, ginger, and lemon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh organic kale leaves
  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 medium cucumber, chopped
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash all ingredients thoroughly. Remove tough stems from kale and chop everything into manageable pieces.
  2. Add kale, apple, cucumber, ginger, lemon juice, and water to a blender.
  3. Blend on high until smooth (30-60 seconds).
  4. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp.
  5. Serve over ice in glasses garnished with lemon slices or mint sprigs.
