Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies made with coconut oil and Greek yogurt for a unique twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or softened butter
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream coconut oil or butter with brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add Greek yogurt, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • You can substitute the chocolate chips with nuts or dried fruits for variety.
