- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, adding vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in half of the dulce de leche.
- Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes before frosting with whipped cream mixed with remaining dulce de leche.
Notes
- This cake can be served plain or with your favorite fruits as a topping.
- Make sure the butter is at room temperature to achieve the best texture.
