A delicious dessert featuring fresh strawberries and a buttery topping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, toss strawberries with half of the sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine melted butter and milk; pour into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour strawberries into a greased baking dish and dollop dough over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
