Description

A delicious and easy honey soy glazed salmon recipe that caramelizes beautifully and is perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon fillet into 1-inch cubes, patting them dry with paper towels to ensure proper caramelization later.
  2. Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a medium-sized mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, gently tossing to coat each piece thoroughly. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Carefully transfer the salmon pieces to the pan, leaving excess marinade behind.
  5. Cook the salmon for 2-3 minutes undisturbed to develop that beautiful caramelization on the first side. Then gently flip each piece and cook for another 2 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
  6. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until it reduces to a glossy sauce. The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer the salmon bites to serving bowls over rice or your preferred base. Drizzle with the reduced sauce from the pan.
  8. Garnish with a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving immediately.
