Description

Delicious red velvet cookies with white chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 oz red food coloring (gel)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and red food coloring until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle some sea salt on top before baking.
