  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line your muffin tin cups to ensure easy removal after baking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and Italian seasoning. Whisk them together to evenly distribute the leavening and herbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk milk and egg together until smooth, then pour into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined—avoid overmixing to maintain a soft texture.
  4. Gently fold in the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and a few spoonfuls of pizza sauce, so the flavors get evenly spread throughout the batter.
